City League Den Haag voorjaar 2011

Ultimus Prime organizes a City League in April/May to promote Ultimate Frisbee in The Hague. This is a fast, spectacular team sport and includes running, throwing, jumping, catching; it’s all in the mix! Anybody who would like to learn Ultimate Frisbee is welcome to join, no experience is needed.

The City League is five Tuesdays in a row starting on the 26th of April. During three weeks, teams will compete in a tournament and this is preceded by an introduction training to learn you Ultimate Frisbee. The fifth and last week the tournament winner is announced during a BBQ at the Zuiderpark. If you are interested, please subscribe yourself as a player and guarantee yourself fun!!

Dates:

  • Tuesday 26 April: Introduction training
  • Tuesday 3, 10 and 17 May: City League
  • Tuesday 24 May: BBQ @ Zuiderpark

We play from 19:30 to 21:30 at sports ground K.S.R.V. Vredenburch, Julialaantje 15B, 2282 NW Rijswijk.

Costs:

  • non-NFB members pay 10 euro, that's including the BBQ and you will receive a disc
  • NFB members pay 2.50 euro, that's including the BBQ.

There is a party coming up! Next Tuesday we celebrate the end of the
City League with a BBQ. After three weeks of intense competition the
Dreamteam came out as the winner. Congratulations! The BBQ will be in
the Zuiderpark at 18:30h (indeed, NOT at 19:30h). This evening we do
not play Ultimate, so you can join in your casual outfit. But bring
your own disc to play some discgolf. Discgolf is a relax game without
any running involved. We will organize food & drinks but feel free to
bring anything you like. Costs are included in the City League fee for
players and are 5 euro for UP members who did not join the CL.

Please send an email ( ronaldhgn [at] gmail.com ) if you join or not,
so we can buy enough food & drinks. And if you have any special
request, e.g., vegetarian or non-pork food, let us know.

[City League] Preparations for next Tuesday

Hi all,

I'm so excited for next Tuesday (April 26) we will kick off the Hague City League 2011!

This Tuesday we will teach you the basics of Ultimate Frisbee. You will learn the rules and some awesome throws.
We will end the training with a match of Ultimate, completed with some experienced players.

To be well prepared, read on:
- Bring a filled water bottle.
- Wear sports clothes and shoes. We play on grass, so if you happen to have (soccer-)shoes with studs ('noppen') I would recommend those.
- You can use the facilities from sports ground K.S.R.V. Vredenburch to change clothes and take a shower afterwards.
- Bring your belongings to the field, don't leave anything in the dressing rooms.
- For administration reasons: please bring the 10 euro submission fee, we will bring the discs that you get from this (UP members please bring the 2.50 euro).

The training starts at 19:30h at K.S.R.V. Vredenburch, Julialaantje 15B, 2282 NW Rijswijk.

There is still room for you to bring you friends, even if they didn't register at the website yet!
