Enschede City League voorjaar 2009

final update 24 June 2009:
Today we had the last from the three evenings of Ultimate frisbee. It was again a great evening, with exiting games. Jalapenos was positioned well to get to the top of the list, but the Draaiende Duiveltjes were really on a roll: they won all their games and finished first! X-Sens took the spirit prize home. Thanks for making the 3rd City League in Enschede a success. For people who would like to try some more Ultimate Frisbee: DDT has their summer training sessions on Tuesday, 19.30h in the GJ van Heekpark in Enschede.

We had great weather today! Nice sun and a breeze. The same four teams played some intense games, with interesting results! See you on the last Wednesday!

We hebben een succesvolle eerste avond achter de rug, waarbij we met droog weer de wedstrijden konden spelen, na een regenachtige introductie. Vier teams bonden de strijd met elkaar aan, de uitslagen zijn te zien op deze site. Tot a.s. woensdag.

Ultimate frisbee in Enschede - City League!!

De frisbee vereniging Disc Devils Twente (DDT) uit Enschede organiseert voor het derde jaar op rij de City League. De City League wordt gehouden op 3 woendagavonden: 10, 17 en 24 Juni, 19.30 - 21.30h. Locatie is het sportpark Rigtersbleek, GJ. van Heekstraat 15. Iedereen is welkom; veel, weinig of geen ervaring. Het maakt niet uit. Kosten voor deze drie avonden samen zijn 10 euro. Hiervoor krijg je een wedstrijdschijf, drie avonden frisbeeplezier, lidmaatschap van de NFB (Nederlandse Frisbee Bond) voor 2009 en de mogelijkheid om je conditie te verbeteren. Wanneer je al NFB lid bent, zijn de kosten 2,50 euro.

Er wordt 5 tegen 5 gespeeld, het is makkelijk om 1 of 2 wissels per team te hebben. Het veld waarop wordt gespeeld is 35m lang.

Wat is Ultimate Frisbee? Dit is een snelle, spectaculaire teamsport waarbij je moet rennen, gooien, springen en vangen. Het spel wordt met mix teams gespeeld; fair play is erg belangrijk bij Ultimate Frisbee.

Ultimate frisbee in Enschede - City League!!

The frisbee team Disc Devils Twente (DDT) from Enschede organizes for the third time in a row the City Leauge. The City League takes place during three Wednesdays on 10th, 17th and 24th of June, 19.30 - 21.30h. Location is the sportpark Rigtersbleek, GJ. van Heekstraat 15. Everybody can join; a lot, hardly any or no experience. It doesn't matter. Costst for these three evenings are 10 euro. For this you will get a game disc, three evenings of frisbee fun, 2009 membership of the NFB (Dutch Frisbee Association) and the possibility to improve your condition.

What is Ultimate Frisbee? This is a fast, spectacular team sport and includes running, throwing, jumping and catching. The game is being played with mixed teams; fair play is very important for Ultimate Frisbee.
