The City League in Amsterdam is organised by Crunch. Teams consist of men and women with various levels of experience, so experienced Ultimate players play together with new players (we play 7 on 7). Experience is not needed to join. You can join individually or with some friends. The organisation will create teams of equal strength.Â One team isÂ preset: SpongeBabes.

Costs:Â 5 euros for NFB-members and 10 euros for non-NFB-members. You get a disc for FREE!! (fees will be collected by your captain once the city league has started)

When:Â 8 Sept - 13 Oct, Monday nights, 19.30 - 21.30 h, every team plays 2 games each night

Iedereen die ultimate wil leren spelen is uitgenodigd om mee te doen, geen ervaring vereist. In drie weken tijd spelen teams in de league en vantevoren is er een introductie training om je ultimate te leren.

Ultimus Prime organizes a City League in April/May to promote Ultimate Frisbee in The Hague. This is a fast, spectacular team sport and includes running, throwing, jumping, catching; it’s all in the mix! Anybody who would like to learn Ultimate Frisbee is welcome to join, no experience is needed.

The City League is five Tuesdays in a row starting on the 26th of April. During three weeks, teams will compete in a tournament and this is preceded by an introduction training to learn you Ultimate Frisbee. The fifth and last week the tournament winner is announced during a BBQ at the Zuiderpark. If you are interested, please subscribe yourself as a player and guarantee yourself fun!!

Tuesday 26 April: Introduction training
Tuesday 3, 10 and 17 May: City League
Tuesday 24 May: BBQ @ Zuiderpark

We play from 19:30 to 21:30 at sports ground K.S.R.V. Vredenburch, Julialaantje 15B, 2282 NW Rijswijk.

Costs:

non-NFB members pay 10 euro, that's including the BBQ and you will receive a disc
NFB members pay 2.50 euro, that's including the BBQ.

Welkom bij City League Enschede 2011.

Net als voorgaande jaren organiseert de Ultimate Frisbee vereniging van Enschede, Disc Devils Twente (DDT), weer een City League. Dit is een instap-tournooi in de mooie sport Ultimate Frisbee.
Je bent hier van harte welkom om met een team of inividueel aan mee te doen. Ervaring is niet nodig, er zullen nog veel meer mensen zijn die niet weten wat de boven- en wat de onderkant van een frisbee is ;-)

Als je je inschrijft via de website, en geen team hebt, wordt je ingedeeld bij een team dat nog wel een extra paar handen en voeten kan gebruiken. Een team bestaat uit minimaal 5 personen, want we spelen 5 tegen 5. Het is wel fijn om in ieder geval 7 mensen in je team te hebben, zodat je ook nog een beetje kunt doorwisselen en daarmee wat rust krijgt. Elk team zal in ieder geval één ervaren speler hebben die aanwijzingen kan geven. Mocht je zelf geen ervaren speler hebben, dan krijg je er eentje toegewezen van de organisatie.

Het programma is als volgt:
op vrijdag 20 mei is er een open training voor iedereen die er behoefte aan heeft wat werp- en vangtechnieken te leren. Hier zullen we ook de basis spelregels doornemen.
Het is om 18.00 uur, in het Van Heekpark (klik). De training is niet verplicht en je kan dus ook gewoon met de City League meedoen zonder de training te hebben gevolgd. De training is gratis. Let op: deze training is in een openbaar park, waar dus geen kleedkamers zijn, en ook geen waterkraan. Je zult je dus ergens anders moeten omkleden en zelf een waterflesje mee moeten nemen. Dat laatste is wel handig; je gaat zeker water nodig hebben.

op woensdagen 1, 8 en 15 juni is het City League tournooi. Dit zal plaastvinden op het verre veld van de Universiteit Twente (klik). Het begint om 19.00uur, de 1e en 8e juni, en om 19.30 uur de 15e juni. De kosten zijn 10 euro per persoon. Hiervoor krijg je een officiele wedstrijd frisbee en na afloop van de avonden krijg je ook een gratis drankje. (Waarschijnlijk overbodig te zeggen, deze sportvelden hebben wel kleedkamers en sanitaire faciliteiten)

Er zijn 2 manieren om te winnen bij Ultimate Frisbee:
1) win de meeste wedstrijden, kom in de finale en win de finale-wedstrijd
2) heb de hoogste "spirit score". Dit krijg je door vriendelijk en eerlijk met je tegenstander om te gaan, zelf vrolijkheid en gezelligheid uit te dragen, zelfs als je verliest.

De belangrijkste regels en uitzonderingen op de officiële regels, in het kort:
-we spelen Ultimate, 5 tegen 5
-stall-count is 10 (!)
-we spelen over de breedte van een voetbalveld
-Ultimate Frisbee is een non-contact sport, je mag elkaar dus (in principe) niet aanraken
-wedstrijden duren 20 minuten, tussendoor is 10 minuten rust
-er is geen maximum aan de hoeveelheid plezier die je mag beleven.

Welcome to the City League Enschede 2011

Just like last years, the Ultimate Frisbee club of Enschede, Disc Devils Twente (DDT), organizes a City League. This is a intro-tournament into the beautiful sport of Ultimate Frisbee.
You're more than welcome to join, with a team or individually. You don't need any experience; there will be more people who don't know which side of the frisbee is up ;-)

If you subscribe through the website, and you don't have a team, than you'll be put in a team that can use an extra pair of hands and feet. A team consists of at least 5 people, since we play 5 aside. It's recommanded however to have at least 7 people in your team, so you can change players in between and get some rest. Each team will have at least one experienced player. If you don't have one, the organisation will appoint you an experienced player.

The program is as follows:
On Friday the 20th of May there is an open training for anyone who wants to get some tips on how to catch and throw a frisbee. Here we will also adress the basic rules of the game. It will be from 18.00h, in the Van Heekpark (click). The training is not obligated and you can also just join the City League without having trained. This training is free of charge. Note though, that this training is in a public park, so there will not be any changing facilities, or tap-water for that matter. So you'll need to change somewhere else, and please take your own bottle of water with you.

On Wednesdays 1st, 8th and 15 of June, the City League tournament is taking place. It will be held at the far field of the Universiteit Twente (klik). It starts at 19.00h on the 1st and 8th, and at 19.30 on the 15th. The costs are 10 euro per person. For this you'll recieve an official game disc and after the matches, you'll get a free drink. (Probably needless to say, these sport fields do have changing rooms and restroom facilities)

There are 2 ways to win in Ultimate Frisbee:
1) win the most games, get into the finals and win this last match
2) get the highest "spirit score". You can get a high spirit score by being friendly and honest towards your opponents, be happy and joyfull, even if you're losing.

The most important rules, and exceptions to the rules are:
-we play Ultimate, 5 aside
-stall-count is 10 (!)
-we play on the width of a football field
-Ultimate Frisbee is a non-contact sport, so you are (basically) not allowed to touch each other
-games take 20 minutes, with 10 minutes rest in between
-once 20 minutes are up, you finish the last point
-there is no maximum amount of fun that you're allowed to have!

Leuk dat je interesse hebt voor de City League in Groningen. Dit toernooi is bedoeld om mensen kennis te laten maken met Ultimate Frisbee, en zal dit jaar plaatsvinden op de avonden van 3, 10 en 17 mei van 19.00 uur tot 21.30 uur bij het klimrek in het Noorderplantsoen, dus zet die data vast groot in je agenda!

Nadat je als individuele speler bent aangemeld bent kan je jezelf opgeven voor een team. Ga daarvoor naar een teampagina en klik in de linkerkolom op "Request membership". Je kan ook zelf een nieuw team beginnen door een mail te sturen naar cityleague@hotmail.com met jouw teamnaam, dan maken wij een team voor je aan op deze website.

De City League Leiden is een open competitie van 3 avonden om een keertje kennis te maken met ultimate frisbee. Frisbee, is dat een sport?

Vraag jij je ook af wat er zo leuk aan is? Doe mee met onze City League in Nijmegen en maak kennis met onze bijzonder sport! De opzet is simpel:

Wat? Ultimate Frisbee is een snelle, spectaculaire teamsport, gespeeld door jongens en meisjes op een grasveld.
Hoe? We spelen met teams van elk 7 of 8 spelers, waarvan er telkens 5 'in het veld' staan. Na elk gescoord punt mag je immers wisselen zo vaak je wilt!
Wie? Iedereen is welkom, wel of totaal niet ervaren, of je nu alleen bent of al een groepje vrienden hebt om een team mee te vormen.
Wanneer? Waar?
Basistechniek en speluitleg, 1 dag:
- maandag 14 juni 2010, van 21.00 tot 22.30 (op het universitair sportcentrum)
NB: de WK voetbalwedstrijd Nederland-Denemarken is al vroeg in de middag, dus die kun je gewoon zien :-)
Wedstrijdavonden, 2 dagen van 19.30 tot uiterlijk 22.00
- maandag 21 juni 2010 (Goffertpark)
- maandag 28 juni 2010 (Goffertpark + prijsuitreiking + biertje)
Hoeveel? De kosten zijn alles inclusief 10 euro per persoon. Hiervoor krijg je naast een paar leuke avonden ook een gratis officiële frisbee en een jaar lang NFB lidmaatschap. (NFB-leden betalen voor de CityLeague 2,50 euro)

LET OP!
De inschrijving sluit op 12 juni a.s. Je kunt dus individueel inschrijven of met een paar vrienden. Uiteraard kun je daarbij aangeven of je samen in een team wilt zitten. Wij zorgen er voor dat de teams van ongeveer gelijk niveau zijn.

City League Utrecht voorjaar 2010

De City League gaat ook in Utrecht weer van start!

Anders dan vorig jaar spelen we de wedstrijden op de sportvelden van het Marco van Basten sportpark.

De redenen hiervoor zijn:

Ruimte! Het Wilhelminapark is weliswaar gezellig, maar ook wat krapjes, zeker op een zomerse dag :s
UFO traint op de maandag- en woensdagavond op het sportpark. Kun je zien hoe het er in het echt aan toegaat ;)
Het Marco van Basten sportpark heeft een gezellige sportkantine, ideaal om na een wedstrijd op het terras wat te drinken
Naast het sportpark ligt het ultieme strand van Utrecht: http://www.strandooginal.nl/ Eveneens een superrelaxte plek om na afloop te chillen. Ze zijn alleen open bij mooi weer (>18C en droog), maar hé, als er gefrisbeet wordt, is het altijd mooi weer.

De wedstrijden zijn op de volgende maandagen van 19.30 t/m 21.30:

In principe is de maandag na 31 mei (voor de rekenaars: dat is dus 7 juni) een open training. Heb je de smaak van het frisbeeen te pakken en wil je eens meetrainen? Dan is dat de perfecte gelegenheid!

DisCo wint de Utrecht City League in de finale met 14-12 van Correctie Veld 2!

De afsluitende dag van de cityleague zal plaatsvinden op 30 juni!

Ook dit jaar organiseert de Utregse Frisbee Organisatie (UFO) weer een City League !
Dit betekent 3 avonden vol met rennen, gooien, springen, duiken, vangen en veel gezelligheid.
Er wordt gespeeld in teams van 5 personen (gemengd man/vrouw). Ervaring is niet nodig .

Hoe werkt het?
De eerste stap is jezelf aanmelden als speler , danwel inloggen. Vervolgens kun je jezelf aansluiten bij een team . Kies hiervoor rechts op de pagina het team waar je je bij aan wilt sluiten. Nu zie je op de linkerkant van de pagina een link 'join' om je aan te sluiten bij het team.

Je kunt ook een bericht sturen naar utrecht@cityleague.nl met de vraag een specifiek team aan te maken.

We streven ernaar de teams samen te laten bestaan uit een gezellige mix van ervaren en onervaren spelers, zowel dames als heren. Met dat team ga je een aantal gezellige avonden beleven en Utimate Frisbee spelen. Via deze website kun je kennismaken met je teamgenoten, berichten sturen en afspraken maken en kennismaken met andere spelers.

Om mee te kunnen doen aan de City League hoef je geen lid te worden van een vereniging. Je hoeft geen trainingen bij te wonen en je hoeft je niet aan te melden voor een heel seizoen.

Want to learn ultimate frisbee? Join the City League!!

Ultimus Prime (www.ultimusprime.com) organizes a City League in June to promote ultimate frisbee in The Hague. This is a fast, spectacular team sport and includes running, throwing, jumping, catching; it’s all in the mix! Anybody who would like to learn ultimate frisbee is welcome to join, no experience is needed. During three weeks, teams will compete in a tournament and the winner will compete in the National League. If you are interested, please subscribe yourself as a player and guarantee yourself fun!!

When: 4th of June (Open training), 11th, 18th and 25th of June (City League) from 19:30 until 21:30

Dit is een snelle, spectaculaire team sport waarvoor je moet rennen, gooien, springen, vangen, it’s all in the mix! Iedereen die ultimate wil leren spelen is uitgenodigd om mee te doen, geen ervaring vereist. In drie weken tijd spelen teams in de league en de winnaar mag meedoen aan de Nationale League. Meld je aan als speler en zorg dat je erbij bent!

final update 24 June 2009:
Today we had the last from the three evenings of Ultimate frisbee. It was again a great evening, with exiting games. Jalapenos was positioned well to get to the top of the list, but the Draaiende Duiveltjes were really on a roll: they won all their games and finished first! X-Sens took the spirit prize home. Thanks for making the 3rd City League in Enschede a success. For people who would like to try some more Ultimate Frisbee: DDT has their summer training sessions on Tuesday, 19.30h in the GJ van Heekpark in Enschede.

We hebben een succesvolle eerste avond achter de rug, waarbij we met droog weer de wedstrijden konden spelen, na een regenachtige introductie. Vier teams bonden de strijd met elkaar aan, de uitslagen zijn te zien op deze site. Tot a.s. woensdag.

Ultimate frisbee in Enschede - City League!!

De frisbee vereniging Disc Devils Twente (DDT) uit Enschede organiseert voor het derde jaar op rij de City League. De City League wordt gehouden op 3 woendagavonden: 10, 17 en 24 Juni, 19.30 - 21.30h. Locatie is het sportpark Rigtersbleek, GJ. van Heekstraat 15. Iedereen is welkom; veel, weinig of geen ervaring. Het maakt niet uit. Kosten voor deze drie avonden samen zijn 10 euro. Hiervoor krijg je een wedstrijdschijf, drie avonden frisbeeplezier, lidmaatschap van de NFB (Nederlandse Frisbee Bond) voor 2009 en de mogelijkheid om je conditie te verbeteren. Wanneer je al NFB lid bent, zijn de kosten 2,50 euro.

Er wordt 5 tegen 5 gespeeld, het is makkelijk om 1 of 2 wissels per team te hebben. Het veld waarop wordt gespeeld is 35m lang.

Ultimate frisbee in Enschede - City League!!

The frisbee team Disc Devils Twente (DDT) from Enschede organizes for the third time in a row the City Leauge. The City League takes place during three Wednesdays on 10th, 17th and 24th of June, 19.30 - 21.30h. Location is the sportpark Rigtersbleek, GJ. van Heekstraat 15. Everybody can join; a lot, hardly any or no experience. It doesn't matter. Costst for these three evenings are 10 euro. For this you will get a game disc, three evenings of frisbee fun, 2009 membership of the NFB (Dutch Frisbee Association) and the possibility to improve your condition.
